THE BEST SHOE
LEATHERS & LASTS
All our leathers come from the same family of full-grain cowhide. We mainly use box calf, basic cowhide and nubuck (not suede, which resembles it but is of lower quality). The full-grain part of the leather is the one with the highest content of collagen protein, with thicknesses between 0.9 and 1.2 mm and the best attributes in terms of pigmentation and finishes that allow us to achieve our overarching goal: to make shoes that fit like gloves, and that are durable and have a beautiful and natural finish. We do not use exotic leather. All our embossing (coconut, ostrich, camus, etc.) is done on full-grain cowhide and our patina finishes on crust leather. For some items, we use finer nubucks, like goatskin, which make the shoe even more delicate than nubuck.
